Anja van Genderen
2014 Minds Inspired Scholar
Cayman Prep and High School (CPHS)

Anja, class of 2016, was the top student in her year at Cayman Prep and High School graduating with honours and distinction, and receiving subject prizes for Art, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, Literature, French and Physics. She also received the Dart Award of Excellence in STEM and the Ernst & Young award for top academic achievement and outstanding student.

When she is not studying, Anja is passionate about horses, riding and competing in dressage events with her horse Joey. In addition to riding, Anja is a talented artist who specialises in portrait drawing and, naturally, sketching horses.

Anja is involved in a number of school-based extracurricular activities including Cayman Prep Maths Club and Key Club, and is in her third year participating in the school’s model United Nations Club.

This past summer Anja attended a two-week academic and leadership camp at Stanford University with other Minds Inspired Scholars, and then travelled to Scotland and England to visit potential universities: seeing them first-hand and learning more about the programmes they offer.

Anja, congratulations on your achievements this year. We wish you the best as you begin your A-level Studies!
