Jade Wilkinson

Jade Wilkinson, Minds Inspired Scholar

Jade Wilkinson
2015 Minds Inspired Scholar
Cayman Prep and High School (CPHS)

A top student in her year at Cayman Prep, Jade complements her academic achievements with competitive sports including track and field, sailing, soccer, touch rugby, and tennis. Her passion for tennis is evidenced by her most recent results: 2016 PwC Cayman Open women’s singles and doubles champion; and overseas in the U16 2016 Hightower Financial Junior Classic at Stables Park, SC and U16 semi-finalist at the 2016 SC Jr. State Open Championship.

A role model for younger players, whom she coaches and mentors, Jade hopes to combine her passions for sports and sciences by pursuing a degree in a field such as Sport Science, Sports Management, Sports Psychology or Sports Analytics.

This past summer Jade attended a two-week academic and leadership camp at Stanford University with other Minds Inspired Scholars, where a non-academic highlight included practicing with a Stanford varsity tennis team member.

A third year member of the Model United Nations (MUN) Club, Jade travelled to New York City to debate world issues last year and is already determining how that experience will make her a stronger participant this year.

Jade, your ability to balance academic demands and competitive tennis is remarkable and we wish you all the best this year!
